Manchester United expected to sign exciting profile in 2025 and 18yo talent is “one to watch”
Manchester United are reportedly expected to sign an exciting profile in 2025 and an 18-year-old talent has been described as “one to watch”.
Manchester United bolstered their squad this summer with the acquisitions of Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte.
These signings have strengthened Erik ten Hag’s side, with their transfer strategy supported by funds from key player departures.
INEOS’ revamped recruitment team also made strides at the academy level, bringing in several promising talents, including Sekou Kone and Samuel Lusale.
United targeting exciting winger in 2025
According to Ben Jacobs, the Reds are expected to sign a young wide player in the next year to boost United’s attacking options from the flanks.
Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Amad Diallo are all solid options for Ten Hag but the depth is less impressive beyond them.
Jacobs noted that Southampton’s 18-year-old starlet Tyler Dibling, who impressed against United earlier this month, could be one to watch due to Dan Ashworth’s likening of the teenager matching Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s transfer preference for the club.
“I also expect Manchester United to add a young wide player,” explained the journalist on GiveMeSport.
“Southampton’s Tyler Dibling could be one to watch simply because Ashworth was very keen on him when at Newcastle United.
“And part of Sir Jim Ratciffe’s strategy is to invest in Under-21 homegrown talent and lower the average age of the first team.”
United fans aware of Dibling’s talent
United will have a clearer view of Dibling’s potential after his impressive performance against Ten Hag’s side earlier this month.
Although the Reds secured a 3-0 win over Southampton, they struggled in the early stages, particularly on Dibling’s flank.
The young right-winger created his team’s best opportunity by cutting inside for a shot toward the far corner, and he later won a penalty that was ultimately missed.
Given that this was Dibling’s first Premier League start, it’s unsurprising to see United linked to the promising talent.
