Mason Greenwood is set to be sold by Manchester United this summer, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and co. looking to raise new funds for the summer transfer window.

The situation involving Mason Greenwood and Manchester United has been complicated over the past two years. In January 2022, Greenwood was suspended from the squad following allegations of domestic violence. However, about a year later, the CPS dropped the charges against him.

United then conducted their own investigation into the matter. Despite nearly deciding to reintegrate Greenwood into the team under Erik ten Hag, fan pressure led the club to abandon this plan. Instead, they chose to send the player on loan for the season.

Greenwood joined Getafe at the end of the 2023 transfer window and has excelled, scoring 10 goals and providing six assists in 34 appearances for the La Liga club.

With INEOS planning to sell this summer, Greenwood has been identified as the top priority for raising funds, and according to The Sun, he has now dropped a further hint that he will be sold in the summer.

According to the report, Greenwood has put his £2 million mansion, where he lived during his time at Old Trafford, up for rent. The six-bedroom house is available for £14,000 a month.

This comes after Napoli became the fifth club to enter the raise for Greenwood this summer.

BarcelonaAtletico MadridGetafe, and Juventus have all shown interest in Greenwood’s services from next season onwards, and a report from The Athletic has now claimed that Serie A club Napoli have also enquired about a possible transfer.

Despite Premier League clubs also tentatively making contact with United to understand how much Greenwood would cost, it is thought that he will almost certainly be leaving Manchester for the European continent on a permanent deal this summer.
