Manchester United send key transfer hint after new contract details revealed
Manchester United have sent a hint over a potential key transfer after new contract details were revealed.
The Reds are expected to be busy in the coming weeks of the transfer market after returning to pre-season training on Monday.
Amad Diallo could have a more important role in Erik ten Hag’s side after impressing towards the back-end of last season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds are expected to open contract talks with Amad in the coming months as he enters the final year of his current deal.
This falls in line with recent reports that stated United now consider the Ivorian as a key player for the future, alongside the likes of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho.
With Amad expected to have a more prominent role at Old Trafford, it puts into question the possibility of signing a right winger this summer.
Michael Olise was someone INEOS were very keen on signing, but with the Frenchman now at Bayern Munich, it seems like there is no one jumping off the page.
Coupled with Amad’s expected new contract and new role; as well as the fact that the wings are also occupied by Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Antony; United could focus their funds elsewhere this summer.
They are close to agreeing deals for Matthijs de Ligt and Joshua Zirkzee, while a second centre-back signing and midfield addition are also on the agenda.
