Joshua Zirkzee provides response to Manchester United transfer links after agreement reached

Joshua Zirkzee was asked about his future following reports that he has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.

Zirkzee, 23, is the player United are aiming to sign to strengthen their frontline.

According to a new report from Voetbal International, Zirkzee has reached a personal agreement with United and is set to join the club after Euro 2024.

The final step before the Netherlands international can move is resolving clauses in his current contract.

In the meantime, Nick Semararo has provided details on Zirkzee’s salary at Old Trafford.

The journalist reported that United’s contract offer is approximately £5 million per year, including bonuses, on a five-year deal lasting until 2029.

Zirkzee is on international duty at Euro 2024 and came on as a late substitute in the Netherlands’ quarter-final win against Turkey on the weekend.

After the game, when asked if he would be playing in Italy next season, the 23-year-old simply said, “I don’t know. Let’s see.”

When pushed further and asked if there was a 50 per cent chance that he would stay, he replied, “Let’s see.”
