Manchester United have added seven players to their Europa League squad before their opening clash against FC Twente on Wednesday evening.

Following a goalless draw with Crystal Palace, Manchester United will begin their Europa League campaign at Old Trafford against FC Twente.

Erik ten Hag’s team is scheduled to play eight group-stage matches, with the top teams advancing to the knockout stage.

They will face FC Twente (H), Porto (A), Fenerbahce (A), PAOK (H), Bodo/Glimt (H), Viktoria Plzen (A), Rangers (H) and Steaua Bucharest (A).

Though this marks the first competitive meeting between the two clubs, Ten Hag knows FC Twente well. He made 257 appearances as a centre-back during three separate stints with the team between 1989 and 2002.

United’s 25-man squad for the competition was named earlier this month but several names have since been added through the B-List.

While United’s main squad for the Europa League campaign has already been confirmed, they can still add Academy players through the B-List.

A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 2003 and has been eligible to play for the club for two years.

The club have confirmed ahead of the game that Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho have both been added to the squad through this list, as expected.

Five more Academy talents have also been included. Toby Collyer, Sam Mather, Louis Jackson and Ethan Wheatley are among those.

Dan Gore has also been included after he made a return from injury for the Under-21s this week. It has been a tough time on the sidelines for the teenager but he will be hoping to kick on this season now he is fit.
