How to watch Manchester United vs FC Twente: TV channel, kick-off time, latest team news
Manchester United begin their 2024/25 Europa League campaign this week with an opening group game against FC Twente.
The Reds have had a mixed start to their Premier League season, securing just two victories from their first five games.
A dominant 7-0 triumph over League One side Barnsley saw them advance to the Carabao Cup fourth round.
Erik ten Hag’s team now shifts focus to the Europa League, a tournament they are also targeting for success this season.
The new format of the competition, which can be read in detail here, means that there are now eight different fixtures that the Reds will be playing in the initial phase of the competition.
The full details surrounding United’s opening game against FC Twente is detailed below.
Kick-off time & venue
Surprisingly, United will begin their Europa League campaign on a Wednesday evening rather than the traditional Thursday.
Due to the change in UEFA’s competitions, the opening game weeks have been spread across three weeks. All of United’s other group games will take place on Thursday evenings.
The kick-off time will come at 20:00 BST and United will be hosting their Dutch opposition at Old Trafford.
TV channel
In the United Kingdom, the game will be available to watch on TNT Sports and Discovery+. Meanwhile, international coverage can be found here.
The UtdDistrict X account will also cover the fixture, providing quotes from Ten Hag and the players before and after the match.
Latest team news
Mason Mount and Rasmus Højlund will both be searching for minutes in this game after returning to the United squad against Crystal Palace.
Victor Lindelöf may also be fit enough to be involved after he returned to first-team training last week.
The only players who are set to be ruled out of the fixture are Tyrell Malacia, Luke Shaw and Leny Yoro.
Meanwhile, several young talents, including Toby Collyer, could get a chance to impress for the Reds.
