One Manchester United academy sensation is becoming difficult to ignore, with technical director Jason Wilcox already well aware of his talents.

Manchester United’s youth teams are filled with exciting talents who could potentially be first-team players in the future.

We have seen the recent progression of Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo at Old Trafford continue the long-standing Academy success at the club.

However, there are even more promising teenagers at Carrington, with the Under-18s having won the Treble last term.

Gabriele Biancheri becoming difficult to ignore

Gabriele Biancheri was one of United’s standout forwards in that Under-18s side last season, although teammates Ethan Wheatley and Ethan Williams often garnered more attention.

Biancheri netted 14 goals in 26 appearances, although his minutes were limited, with just 13 starts across the campaign.

However, the young Welshman has been the main striker in the Under-18s so far this term and has been making a lot of noise with his goalscoring prowess.

So far this term, Biancheri has already netted 14 times, including two goals in the Under-19s UEFA Youth League victory over FK Zalgiris on Wednesday.

He has been United’s most prolific youth player so far this term and Academy coaches may be debating whether to offer him more Under-21s minutes as the season progresses.

Biancheri stands out as one of the few in the Academy with a natural goal-scoring instinct, with most of his goals coming inside the area by one or two touches.

Jason Wilcox well aware of Binacheri’s talents

According to a prior report from MailSport, the club’s technical director, Jason Wilcox, has been closely monitoring Biancheri’s development.

Wilcox was present when the striker netted twice against Everton U18s at the end of last season.

Having served as Manchester City’s academy director before joining United, Wilcox is well-versed in nurturing young stars capable of reaching the top level. At City, he played a key role in promoting talents like Oscar Bobb, Phil Foden, and Cole Palmer.

Biancheri’s impressive performances both in training and matches have caught the attention of coaches and scouts, with the report highlighting that many are “salivating” at his potential.

He may force the club to provide him with further opportunities, whether that be to train with the first-team or play at the higher level in the PL2 more consistently.
