Manchester United have a chance to sign an £85 million wonderkid this summer they’ve already placed a bid for
Manchester United may have a chance to sign Barcelona wonderkid Vitor Roque this summer following a disappointing first few months in Spain.
That is according to Roque’s agent Andre Cury, who has admitted that his client may have to consider a permanent exit from Barcelona this summer.
Roque, 19, has made 13 appearances since completing his move to the La Liga giants, scoring on two occasions.

Of those 13 appearances, only twice has Roque started the game with the Brazilian teenager struggling to cement his place in the Barcelona first team.
Having completed his £34 million move to Barca at the start of this year, Roque’s position in the Barcelona first team has not been guaranteed by the club’s head coach Xavi.
Speaking to the media recently, Xavi admitted that Roque needs first-team minutes but was unable to guarantee them at Barcelona, refusing to rule out a loan move away from the club for Roque.
A loan move is something Cury has refused to accept for his client, stating the following (via Manchester Evening News):
“We chose Barcelona because he wanted to play for Barcelona. I’m certain Vitor is going to be a great player, but if Barca won’t play him, we have to look at finding a solution.
“A loan for a young boy can be harmful because he could go to a club that does not own him and has no interest in taking care of him. This is very dangerous for the boy’s career. The best thing is to stay at Barca, but if he can’t stay, we will work to get him to leave permanently.”
According to Roque’s agent, Manchester United and Tottenham had both previously bid over €100 million (£85.68 million) for Roque, but they chose Barca instead.
Speaking to the Charla Podcast, Roque said that the decision to turn down United was made because his “career plan is well mapped out.”
Now, with the possibility of a summer move on the cards, the potential for United to reignite their interest in the Brazilian teenager.
