Manchester United injury news vs Tottenham as Erik ten Hag offers three crucial updates
Erik ten Hag has provided multiple crucial updates as Manchester United prepare to face Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
After a disappointing 1-1 draw with FC Twente in the Europa League, Manchester United will shift their focus back to the Premier League as they prepare to host Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag‘s team has had a difficult start to the season, securing just two victories from their first five fixtures and scoring only five goals.

Similarly, Tottenham have struggled, also winning two of their opening five matches. They are currently tied with United on seven points but hold the advantage thanks to a superior goal difference.
United only have a few injuries to worry about, with Ten Hag confirming that no significant injury issues were present after the club’s midweek draw against Twente. Luke Shaw, Leny Yoro, Tyrell Malacia, and Victor Lindelöf are the four men who will not be available against Tottenham.
“No, I don’t think so. It will be the same squad as yesterday [Wednesday],” Ten Hag told reporters when asked if there were any knocks coming out of the European tie.
“I think it will be a very intense game. It always is against Tottenham and I think it is also our style as well. So I think it is going to be a very dynamic, attractive game.”
Earlier this week, the Dutchman provided an update on Shaw, although he said he “can’t say for certain” when the left-back will return.
‘The plan is to be back before [the October international break], but I can’t be 100 per cent sure. It could be shortly after the break.’
Regarding Leny Yoro, Ten Hag told club media that “he is doing very well” with respect to his rehabilitation after he was ruled out for three months with a foot problem back in August.
“It is very pleasing that his rehab is going in the right direction, and I expect him soon, but what I mean by soon is that he is now in the right planning process.
“He is in the right spot, and he will return as soon as possible into the squad and then the team training.”
Lindelöf returned to training earlier this week but is not expected to be involved, while Mason Mount and Rasmus Højlund have both had minutes from the bench across the last few games as they rebuild fitness.
