Louis Saha says there are “no negatives” about fan-favourite Man United managerial candidate
Louis Saha has been discussing potential Manchester United managers in case Erik ten Hag is sacked this summer.
Ten Hag has experienced major difficulties this term at United, with the team now unable to finish in the Premier League’s top four.
The FA Cup final against Manchester City remains the only hope of the season being labelled as a success, and even then, victory still could leave Ten Hag vulnerable to an exit.
Many potential candidates have been discussed within the media and online, with several options being uninspiring for supporters.
Gareth Southgate and Graham Potter have both been labelled as potential options. However, most fans have identified Zinedine Zidane as the best manager for the job if Ten Hag does leave.
Whether the former Real Madrid boss makes the move is another question, but it’s a potential acquisition that Louis Saha would support.
“For a few years, I’ve said that Zidane would be a fantastic appointment for the club. There’s no negatives about it,” the former United striker told BetFred.
“We all know that his dream job is with the French national team, but we don’t know if he may have to wait a while for that position to become available.
“He can speak a bit of English, so that would be helpful. I don’t see anything that goes against him being Manchester United manager.
“He would definitely inspire the players to be more confident at the highest level and everybody admires him for what he’s done as a player and as a manager, so that’s certainly an advantage he’s got.
“It would be a massive achievement for Manchester United to have Zinedine Zidane as their manager.”
