When is the FA Cup final? Full details Manchester United face Man City
Full details as Manchester United prepare to face Manchester City in the FA Cup final following their penalities win over Coventry City on Sunday afternoon.
With a poor season in the Premier League combined with early exits from the Carabao Cup and Champions League, Erik ten Hag‘s men are one win away from their only possible trophy this season.
Goals from Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire, and Bruno Fernandes saw the club go 3-0 up with 20 minutes remaining, but three in reply from Coventry took the game to penalties, which United emerged triumphant from.

They will face Manchester City once again, who defeated United 2-1 in the 2023 FA Cup final last season as part of their treble-winning campaign.
The full details of the final have been confirmed below.
When is the fixture?
The 2024 FA Cup final will take place on Saturday, 25 May. The participating teams have only just been confirmed, so the exact kick-off time has not been determined.
Last season, the police determined the game to be “high risk” and moved it to a 15:00 BST start, and this may be the case again.
United’s route to the final
United’s 2024 FA Cup campaign started against Wigan Athletic, with goals from Diogo Dalot and Bruno Fernandes securing a 2-0 win in the club’s first game of the calendar year.
They then went on to beat Newport County 4-2 thanks to finishes from Fernandes, Kobbie Mainoo, Antony, and Rasmus Højlund. A last-minute winner from Casemiro against Nottingham Forest in the following match put them through to the quarter-final against Liverpool.
The Liverpool tie was a thrilling 4-3 win that Scott McTominay, Antony, Marcus Rashford, and Amad Diallo scored to send Ten Hag’s team to Wembley. The goals from McTominay, Maguire, and Fernandes and the subsequent penalty shootout sent them to the final.
Who did Manchester City beat to get to the final?
Man City’s FA Cup run started in January with a 5-0 win over Hudersfield, followed by 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur later that month.
They then defeated Luton Town 6-2 before knocking Newcastle United out with a 2-0 win at home. In the semi-final, a late goal from Bernardo Silva against Chelsea secured their ticket to the final.
