Manchester United lost 3-1 against Manchester City after going ahead in their Premier League clash at the Etihad Stadium.

Marcus Rashford scored one of the goals of the season to give United the lead but then failed to land a glove on City for the rest of the game.

Erik ten Hag’s entire backline were solid under the microscope for the majority of the game but they could not deal with the constant pressure and eventually scored and then they were in control to add a winner.

The player ratings can be read below.

André Onana – 8.5/10

A great performance. He dominated aerially, made three huge saves from Phil Foden and Rodri in the first half, and also created the chance for the opener with a wonderful long-kick to Bruno Fernandes. Unfortunate to be on the losing side.

Diogo Dalot – 7/10

Difficult day but dealt with the threat on the right mostly well.

Raphaël Varane – 8.5/10

Alongside Onana, deserved to be on the winning side. Outstanding defensive efforts throughout the difficult game.

Jonny Evans – 6/10

Decent first half but tailed off in the second until he was replaced.

Victor Lindelöf – 5/10

OK first half but failed to close down Foden for the equaliser.

Casemiro – 6/10

A brilliant first half but dropped off in the second and City were taking advantage of it.

Kobbie Mainoo – 7/10

Some difficulties on the ball towards the start, but doing a brilliant job out of possession and tracking runs. Played in a good ball in behind to Garnacho before coming off.

Bruno Fernandes – 7/10

Good first half and some good moments in the second, but dropped off like others.

Scott McTominay – 5/10

Not a lot from him. Good running out of possession but minimal impact on the ball.

Alejandro Garnacho – 5/10

A difficult afternoon.

Marcus Rashford – 6.5/10

An absolute wonder-strike but still looked scared to face up against Kyle Walker afterwards.

Subs

Willy Kambwala – 5/10

OK display.

Antony – 4/10

No impact.

Sofyan Amrabat – 2/10

Awful mistake for the third.

Omari Forson – N/A
