Juventus are keeping an eye on one Manchester United star, who appears to be out of favour for Rúben Amorim.
Manchester United has almost had their squad defined for the 2025/26 season, but some transfer windows remain open, so there is scope for change.
Andre Onana has completed his loan move to Trabzonspor, and Tyrell Malacia could follow him, with a different Turkish side interested in the left-back. A third United player could also leave for Turkey before their deadline closes.
However, there shouldn’t be much change in the squad going forward until January at the earliest, although some players are already picking up interest.
Rúben Amorim’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, has been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia for most of the summer, and more details have been revealed about their interest.
Another United star could also be set for a January move if he continues to be left without a key role in the Red Devils system.
Juventus monitoring Zirkzee future
Joshua Zirkzee has started the season on the bench for Amorim, even though Benjamin Šeško hasn’t started a Premier League game, meaning the Dutchman is effectively United’s third-choice striker.
Tuttosport have reported that while “Amorim’s opinion of him is not high”, he could still be an option for Juventus as they are “admirers”.
Zirkzee would be a replacement for Dusan Vlahovic, whose contract expires at the end of the season, and the understanding is that he’s unlikely to be offered or sign a new one.
While he isn’t one of the first-choice options for Juventus, Zirkzee is being “monitored”, and the Italian Giants will be keeping track of him across the season, especially if he struggles for playing time.
Right man, wrong time for Zirkzee
Zirkzee hasn’t had an easy United career: from being booed off the pitch in the first half to suffering a hamstring injury during his best spell in a red shirt. Now, he is forced to play backup again, even after Rasmus Hojlund’s departure.

While he isn’t the perfect profile for Amorim, Zirkzee offers a lot to the United squad because of his frontline versatility and hunger to impress.
Also, if Amorim ever gets to the point where United are fighting at the top of the league, Zirkzee would be an ideal striker because his unique style would cause opposition defences problems.
The former Bayern Munich youngster favours a possession-dominant style, but United aren’t quite there yet. It could be the case of the right man at the wrong time for Zirkzee at Old Trafford.
