Erik ten Hag slams “crazy” and “unfair” Premier League decision after Man United win
Erik ten Hag has slammed Premier League officials following Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.
Manchester United were able to make it four Premier League wins in a row after Erik ten Hag‘s men defeated Luton Town 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
Their string of wins, including against the likes of West Ham and Aston Villa, has seen the club move within three points of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth and five from Villa in fourth.

However, despite the win, Ten Hag was fuming as the Premier League referee David Coote, who was officiating the tie between the Hatters and the Reds.
Speaking after the fixture, the Dutchman talked about the “crazy” yellow card that Casemiro received in the first half that eventually led to the Brazilian having to be substituted at half-time.
“Even when he is not touching opponents, he gets booked,” Ten Hag said. “Often the first moment of the game.

“I think it’s crazy, and it was so unfair that first booking. That second could have been, so that’s why I took him off. He touches an opponent, and he gets booked.”
Casemiro has created somewhat of a reputation at United for drawing yellow cards after he served multiple suspensions for accumulating yellow cards and multiple red cards last season, with the player serving almost 10 games worth of bans across 2022/23.
Another example of where this reputation has hindered him was against Aston Villa, where Casemiro was booked for a foul on Matty Cash, despite replays showing that Casemiro did not touch the player and that Cash had blatantly thrown himself to the ground with a dive.
