Manchester United set final price for central defender with Tottenham interested
Manchester United have set their final price for reported central defensive target Juventus defender Dean Huijsen.
Manchester United are looking to sign a new central defender in the coming transfer window, with the future of their current crop hanging in the balance.
“We haven’t made that decision yet,” said Erik ten Hag when asked about the futures of both Jonny Evans and Raphaël Varane, who are in the final months of their current contracts.

With Harry Maguire’s future also in question and Victor Lindelöf having under 18 months left on his current deal, there are a number of centre-back slots that may need to be filled in the coming summers.
With this in mind, the club are said to be keeping an eye on 18-year-old Juventus defender Dean Huijsen, who is currently on loan at Roma, having joined them earlier this year.
Now, TuttoJuve have reported that United have set a limit of just over £25 million as the maximum amount they are willing to pay for the defender.
It is also explained that Tottenham Hotspur are showing their own interest in the Netherlands-born player.
Huijsen’s current contract with Juventus does not expire until June 2027, meaning the youngster currently retains a high market value – INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are said to be targeting players who are in the final years of their contract.
