Barcelona have rejected an initial approach by Jadon Sancho’s representatives about a loan move out of Erik ten Hag’s squad in January.

Jadon Sancho‘s future at Manchester United is bleak; everything points towards the £75 million winger leaving Erik ten Hag‘s squad in January.

After claiming that Ten Hag was scapegoating him for poor performances, Sancho was completely banished from all first-team activities and has not seen a football pitch since the end of August.

There have been many rumours as to where Sancho will go, with both Borussia Dortmund and Juventus two names that continue to crop up in the media, but a new link has cropped up – La Liga side, Barcelona.

Sport Witness explain that Spanish outlet Sport have learned that Barcelona are keeping tabs on the player’s situation, but rejected an approach from Sancho’s camp to facilitate a January loan move.

Their interest is set to start from June next year as the summer window opens, which would allow Barcelona to have a little more financial freedom to manoeuvre a real.

United’s plan, it is said, is to loan Sancho for the remaining six months of the campaign before re-evaluating the situation in the summer and looking for a full sale.

It has been reported elsewhere that United want around £50-60 million for Sancho, whose current contract expires in 2026.
