Shiekh Jassim, a bidder for Manchester United, is refusing to negotiate for Serie A club Inter Milan due to the current asking price of Steven Zhang.

The Manchester United sale process is approaching its twelfth month after the club announced that the Glazer family owners were looking for “alternative investment” into the side.

Erik ten Hag‘s team have seen news round after news round bombard Old Trafford with takeover stories as the Glazers continue to refuse to make a decision despite receiving majority bids from both Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Sheikh Jassim, who has bid for 100% control of the club at a value of around $5 billion, has been waiting patiently for an answer from his latest bid, but as of yet, one has not arrived.

He has, therefore, been scouting Europe for other potential clubs to purchase and recently landed on Inter Milan, whose owner Steven Zhang has valued at just over £1 billion – a figure that the Sheikh is not willing to match.

This is according to Italian outlet TuttoMercatoWeb, which claims that this has come about due to Qatar Airways potentially sponsoring the Milan-based side for the rest of the season.

It is further claimed that, due to the “out of market” figure, Jassim is unwilling to even negotiate a price that the club can be bought for.

This serves as a warning to the Glazers that Jassim will not overpay for Manchester United. The American family are said to want around $6 billion for the side, but no bid has so far come to this asking price, and although the Glazers are thought to be holding out for a higher bid, this is unlikely to come from Jassim.
