Casemiro was substituted for Brazil due to an injury against Venezuela as the two sides drew 1-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Friday.

Manchester United have suffered from an incredible injury crisis so far this season, with Erik ten Hag‘s squad seeing a total of 16 injuries since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

The problem has become so pressing that the club have decided to launch an internal investigation into the issue, with insiders speculating that it is a result of the heavy schedule from last season.

To add to the current injury woes, Casemiro was substituted during Brazil’s latest international friendly due to injury.

“As there was a stop (in in the game), I decided to make the three substitutions,” Brazil manager Fernandeo Diniz told Globo Esporte. “We had a lot of control when they came on. Casemiro asked to come off due to a blow to his ankle.”

This, of course, caused concern among both United fans and those in the club, but there has been a positive injury update on the player.

Casemiro has since been pictured Casemiro with the Brazil squad in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay’s capital, for the upcoming match between the two countries, leading to the belief that his ankle problem is of no serious concern.

After the international break finishes, United travel to face Sheffield United in the Premier League before welcoming FC Copenhagen to Old Trafford as they bid to rescue their poor start to the Champions League.
