Barcelona called to take “opportunity” to sign Manchester United star at reduced price
Barcelona have an “opportunity” to sign one of Manchester United’s players at a reduced fee as Hansi Flick builds his new club from this summer onwards.
Barcelona have been in flux throughout the last five years after Lionel Messi left the La Liga club at the end of the 2017/18 season.
Financial difficulties, high-money transfers, and the cost of a new stadium have left the club needing to consistently change their strategies across the last half a decade, and they have recently hired new manager Hansi Flick following the departure of Xavi.

Xavi, after winning the La Liga title in 2023, announced earlier last season that he would leave the club at the end of the most recent campaign, although he later changed his mind and chose to continue.
Regarding, Barcelona decided that he would leave the club after they lost out on the 2023/24 title to Real Madrid by 10 points, finishing second with 85 in total.
With a big transfer window needed, the club have now been called to consider signing Jadon Sancho this summer by fan-led sight BarcaUniversal.
Sancho will leave Manchester United in the coming transfer window, and the club is said to want around £40 million for his signature. This is a significant reduction from the £73 million they paid Borussia Dortmund for him in 2021.
After a falling out with Erik ten Hag, Sancho was banned from all first-team activities at Old Trafford and Carrington, and it has been suggested that the “opportunity” to sign Sancho for Flick’s new side is a good one.
“Sancho had a successful second half of the 2023/24 season at Dortmund, scoring three goals and providing three assists in both the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League,” BarcaUniversal published.
“He also played a key role in helping the team reach the Champions League final, where they lost 0-2 to Real Madrid. Adding cherry to the cake, the president of La Liga, Javier Tebas, recently confirmed that Barcelona are close to meeting the financial regulations, known as the 1:1 rule, especially if they can make a few key sales.
“If they achieve this, the club can seriously consider signing Sancho, as he would fit well into Hansi Flick’s plans for the team.
“Overall, the potential signing of Jadon Sancho could be a smart move for Barcelona, giving them the right-wing boost they need at a much lower cost than expected.”
