Manchester United will present La Liga club with £15m transfer offer for striker
Manchester United will reportedly present a La Liga club with a £15 million transfer offer for their striker in the coming days.
It has been heavily reported that United are aiming to sign another striker this summer to lighten the burden on 21-year-old Rasmus Højlund.
Højlund scored 16 goals last term but struggled throughout different parts of the campaign and was the only striker at the club.
In the final games of the season, including the FA Cup final, Erik ten Hag opted to use a false-nine due to the lack of alternative options to Højlund, who instead made his impact from the bench.
However, that is not an option for another season. INEOS have centre-back, centre-midfield and striker as three of their biggest priorities this summer.
According to Máximo Ramírez, the Red Devils have received the green light to approach Sevilla forward Youssef En Nesyri as they look to strengthen their frontline.
The reporter added that United are expected to present an offer in the range of £15-20 million for the 27-year-old striker in the coming days.
En Nesyri enjoyed a fruitful season in front of goal last term despite Sevilla’s struggles. He netted 20 times in 41 appearances for the Spanish outfit.
This follows on from information UtdDistrict received, which explained that the centre-forward United were targeting this summer is likely to be a squad player rather than a big-money signing.
The Moroccan striker signed for Sevilla from CD Leganés in January 2020 and has since made 196 appearances for them.
