Manchester United are looking to raise as many funds as possible in the coming summer transfer window with a big clearout of Erik ten Hag’s squad needed.

With Manchester United having spent lavishly in the last few seasons under Erik ten Hag, INEOS do not have many funds to work with and must raise as much as possible in transfer sales this summer.

One report has claimed that United’s net budget could be as low as £35 million, but sales of players such as Alvaro Fernandez, Mason Greenwood, and Jadon Sancho could raise over £100 million in the early stages of this summer.

Another player who is likely on their way out of Old Trafford in the coming months is Casemiro, who United signed a few seasons ago for £60 million from Real Madrid.

Although a transfer out of the club has not yet been completed, a claim from FootballTransfers states that he has said goodbye to his teammates and staff at the club.

It is said that Casemiro originally attended the FA Cup post-match party and said goodbye to those there permanently before leaving on a private flight to Brazil with his family.

It feels as if a move to the Saudi Pro League is drawing closer for Casemiro, with a report from caughtoffside stating that Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s club, are willing to offer £77-85 million for the midfielder this summer.

Casemiro is said to have been assured that he is a priority for Al Nassr, and as such, he is understood to be keen on the move. The only step remaining is for United and Al Nassr to come to an agreement.

Should Al Nassr indeed offer a fee around that price, this would solve many of United’s problems. It would allow them to hopefully raise well over £150 million in the sales of some of their surplus stars and get working on transfers of other targets, such as Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Reports from the last few days have indicated that the club have started tabling offers of around £50 million for Benfica midfielder Joao Neves and Lille centre-back Leny Yoro—although it is likely that both of these fees will be or may have already been rejected.
