Jadon Sancho releases clear statement to Borussia Dortmund after Man United loan ends
Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has released a clear statement after his Borussia Dortmund loan has ended.
Sancho, 24, started in the Champions League final at Wembley, and despite the Bundesliga team controlling most of the match, Real Madrid emerged victorious in the end.
The United loanee has shone during his stint at Dortmund, prompting the German club to explore options to keep him for the upcoming season.
Sancho’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain due to a fallout with United manager Erik ten Hag at the start of last season.
However, while Dortmund would like the 24-year-old to remain at the club, it seems unlikely that a deal will be struck due to the player’s wages and the transfer fee United will be demanding.
That assumption is also reflected in Sancho’s latest Instagram post, in which he writes a detailed statement on his six-month stint back in Germany.
In what appeared to be a goodbye, Sancho expressed his gratitude to Dortmund and thanked various members of the Bundesliga club’s staff and fanbase.
“What a crazy 6 months @bvb09,” began Sancho in a post wrote on Instagram.
“We win together we lose together, these moments only make us stronger! I’m so grateful to be apart of such an amazing group of players!
“I want to congratulate Real Madrid on winning the Champions League. We came up short on the night, but we should be super proud of ourselves. We are a family and these moments won’t break us! Thank you to everybody who came out to support us on such a special day!
“@bvb09 I want to thank everyone involved at such an amazing club. I can’t thank you enough for welcoming me back the way you all have during these last 6 months.
“Thank you to Edin Terzić, Sebastian Kehl and Hans-Joachim Watzke for believing in me and bringing me back.
“Finally a special thank you to the BVB fans. Your support is amazing and I’m forever thankful for you all!”
This follows shortly on from a new report that claimed Sancho was ready to return to United if Ten Hag is sacked.
The winger is “reluctant” to give up on his career at Old Trafford and still has an ambition to make it work at the club.
