Borussia Dortmund schedule meeting with Man United with clear Jadon Sancho plan outlined
Borussia Dortmund and Manchester United will meet over the coming days to speak about the future of Jadon Sancho after his loan deal.
Sancho, 24, started in the Wembley final, and despite the Bundesliga side dominating most of the game, Madrid ultimately came out on top.
The United loanee has impressed during his time at Dortmund, and the German club will be seeking ways to retain him for the next season.
Sancho’s future remains uncertain following a fallout with United boss Erik ten Hag at the beginning of last season.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, there will be discussions between the two clubs in the coming days, with Dortmund keen to keep Sancho at the club.
“Another important situation to watch will be with Jadon Sancho,” he wrote in his Daily Briefing. “Borussia Dortmund will talk to Man United in the next days about Sancho, and then we’ll have to see how talks and meetings will go.
“For sure, Borussia Dortmund can’t spend crazy money, but they want to try to keep Sancho as he’s happy at the club, while United’s priority remains a permanent sale, for sure.”
It has previously been reported that the Old Trafford club would like to receive around £40 million for the 24-year-old, and it has also been claimed that Dortmund can pay a significant transfer fee for the Englishman.
The problem lies with the player’s wages, and he would need to take a pay-cut should he want the permanent move to Dortmund.
