Manchester United coach hails “amazing” change INEOS have already made at Old Trafford
Benni McCarthy has detailed an “amazing” change INEOS have already made at Manchester United since the beginning of 2024.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s 27.7% acquisition of Manchester United has completely twisted the club’s future, with his INEOS team now in control of all sporting matters at Old Trafford.
Having already hired a new CEO, Omar Berrada, and a technical director, Jason Wilcox, the club is set to bring in Newcastle United’s director of football, Dan Ashworth, to play a similar role in Manchester.

Beyond this, they could still fire Erik ten Hag and opt for a new manager this summer. The decision is expected to arrive within the next few days, and it will no doubt be the biggest decision that the group have made so far.
However, current forward coach Benni McCarthy has detailed an “amazing” change that the group have already made at Old Trafford just through their sheer presence.
“From what I’ve seen, INEOS have come into the club, and people are on their toes, which is amazing,” McCarthy explained to South African radio station 947 Joburg. “Because you can see the difference new people, new owners bring to the club.
“People are sharp, and it’s just a nice vibe. A nice atmosphere. Also, when you talk to them in the training ground, the positivity and the way they want to see the club, they want to see success, and they want to be part of the success.
“These are all great (things). I’ve not got a whiff of ‘ooh, trouble is coming’.”
