Zlatan Ibrahimovic has recommended that AC Milan sign one of Manchester United’s star players from last season’s FA Cup final victory.

Ibrahimović, 42, joined United in July 2016, bringing with him a wealth of experience and a winning mentality.

The veteran striker quickly made an impact, scoring the winning goal in his debut in the Community Shield against Leicester City. He was instrumental in United’s winning the EFL Cup, where he scored twice in the final, and the UEFA Europa League during his first season.

A serious knee injury impacted Zlatan’s following season before he departed to join LA Galaxy in March 2018.

The iconic striker, who retired in 2023, is now working as ‘senior advisor’ to AC Milan’s ownership group, a role he has been in since last December.

According to a report from TMWSofyan Amrabat is on the radar of the Italian giants, and Ibrahimović is the one who has recommended the on-loan United midfielder.

It was claimed that the Swede believes the Moroccon international can offer something different to the team’s existing options.

Amrabat had difficulties during his season on loan at Old Trafford but emerged into the team in the final weeks and was an important player at Wembley as United beat Manchester City to win the FA Cup.

Recent reports have stated that the Reds will not decide whether to activate the buy-option in Amrabat’s contract until the management situation has been clarified. But it appears that other clubs, like AC Milan, are sniffing around the defensive midfielder.

Meanwhile, another Old Trafford exit has been confirmed this week after Anthony Martial, Raphaël Varane and Brandon Williams were announced to be leaving at the end of their contracts this month.

Fabrizio Romano reports that Omari Forson will not be accepting a new deal at United and instead will move on a free transfer to Serie A club Monza after agreeing a contract with the Italian club.

Forson made his debut under Erik ten Hag last season and would go on to make six appearances in all competitions for the first-team.
