Manchester United scouts have identified what they believe would be a “shrewd signing” from the Championship this summer.

The Reds are expecting a busy summer transfer window after the season concludes, with Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS taking charge of their first transfer window.

Various positions will need strengthening, and departures are also expected. David Ornstein recently claimed that United will aim to add a centre-back, left-back, centre-midfielder, and striker.

One player who has recently been linked to the club is Leicester City star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

Ben Jacobs previously stated that United have made an initial enquiry to the Championship midfielder’s entourage and that he could be available between £25-40 million, with the price dependant on whether the former Premier League winners are promoted this term.

UtdDistrict understands that Dewsbury-Hall is a player that the club are looking closely into at this moment. He is a player to keep an eye out for, with club scouts following him closely for a lengthy period.

Sources have also told UtdDistrict that United scouts are of the belief that the 25-year-old would be a shrewd signing for the midfield at United and presents good value for money in the current market.

The Foxes currently sit second in England’s second-flight behind Kieran McKenna’s Ipswich Town.

Dewsbury-Hall has been a key player for Enzo Maresca’s side this term, playing 46 games and registering 26 goal contributions from midfield.

He emerged through Leicester City’s youth academy and became a first-team regular in the 2021/22 season after loan spells with Blackpool and Luton Town.
