Three things noticed during Man United training, including Rasmus Hojlund clarification
Manchester United returned to training after their third pre-season outing against Arsenal in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Reds lost 2-1 against the Premier League opposition but displayed a solid showing in the first half before Erik ten Hag made 10 changes at the break.
Upcoming fixtures against Real Betis and Liverpool are coming in the next week before the squad return to England for the Community Shield against Manchester City.
After the latest training videos and images, UtdDistrict have detailed three things noticed during the latest session.
Rasmus Højlund clarification
Rasmus Højlund suffered an injury in the Arsenal clash in the early hours of Sunday morning after scoring the opener in the game.
It appeared to be a hamstring issue, but some reports suggested that it was not as serious as the injury, which saw Leny Yoro exit the pitch around 20 minutes later.
Some accounts on X have stated that Højlund returned to team training the day after the Arsenal game.
However, United’s training footage did not pick up Højlund at all during the session, and it appears that the images used by those accounts were from a previous session before the Arsenal clash.
It is likely that we hear more detailed updates on Højlund and Yoro in the coming days.
Winning team
The Manchester United pre-season winning team pictures are back, and it was typical to see Amad Diallo in the image.
After impressing in pre-season so far, Amad has a good chance at starting the season as Erik ten Hag’s right winger.
But there are certain people who remember the winning team pictures in recent years, when it almost became a running joke that Amad was always in those pictures when at the club.
He was alongside Harry Maguire, Tom Heaton, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Sam Murray and Jadon Sancho this time around.
Victor Lindelöf returns
Meanwhile, Victor Lindelöf was also spotted in team training after missing the first three pre-season fixtures.
There is uncertainty around the Swedish defender’s future at Old Trafford, with reports claiming that a departure is needed to sign Matthijs de Ligt.
