“This is what the game is about” – Roy Keane praises two Man United players after West Ham win
Roy Keane has praised two Manchester United players following their 3-0 victory over West Ham on Sunday afternoon.
Rasmus Højlund and Alejandro Garnacho secured the goals for United in a difficult battle against The Hammers.
Erik ten Hag’s side dominated the majority of the game and deserved the three points, which puts them back ahead of West Ham in the Premier League.
Højlund’s opener saw United finally take advantage of a high regain in the opposition’s third. Casemiro won the ball with a smart tackle, and the Dane took full advantage.
At half-time, following that goal, Roy Keane was full of praise for both of those players and claimed that it was a perfect example of how football should be played, with intensity and quality.
“United pressing high up the pitch, it’s a brilliant goal, a striker in form, Casemiro being aggressive, this is what the game is about,” stated Keane on Sky Sports.
“He goes onto his weaker foot, I don’t mind when a striker produces moments of quality like that. He’s got a lot of confidence and is on a great run.”
That goal made it four goals in his last four Premier League games for Højlund. He has kicked into gear after a difficult opening to life in England’s top flight.
Garnacho’s double also came at the perfect time for the Argentine after some promising performances from the right wing in recent weeks.
United now sit sixth in the Premier League table.
