Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS are prepared to bring in two cheap Premier League options for Manchester United in the summer transfer window.

Omar Berrada was confirmed as the club’s new chief executive, whilst both Dan Ashworth and Jason Wilcox have entered their gardening leave periods from Newcastle and Southampton, respectively, as United aim to negotiate their exits in the coming months.

On the pitch, there have also been some big names linked with summer moves to the club, as well as some potential high-profile exits, including Raphaël Varane and Casemiro.

Yet, United are now turning their focus to bolstering their squad depth, eyeing Ross Barkley from Luton Town and Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham, FootballTransfers reports.

It is stated that the club is prioritising reinforcements in midfield and defence, anticipating significant departures in the upcoming summer transfer window.

United sees Barkley as an ideal addition due to his versatility and experience, the report added, while Adarabioyo’s standout performances for Fulham have caught their attention.

The defender is entering the final months of his contract and could be acquired on a free deal. UtdDistrict understands that negotiations between the player and United will commence in the coming weeks.

While it remains uncertain whether Barkley will extend his stay at Luton, it is further explained that the club views both players as low-risk acquisitions.

Owner Ratcliffe is reportedly willing to authorise substantial spending on new signings, with Jarrad Branthwaite and Michael Olise among the top targets. However, Barkley and Adarabioyo are seen as cost-effective options that could provide valuable depth to the squad.
