Manchester United fans think they have spotted new CEO Omar Berrada at the club’s Carrington training complex for the first time.

Omar Berrada will become the new Chief Executive Officer of Manchester United ahead of the summer 2024 summer window as the most significant of INEOS‘ new appointments following Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s 27.7% acquisition of United.

The former Manchester City chief of football operations will join the club in the summer ahead of the 2024/25 season at Old Trafford but will remain on gardening leave until then.

Manchester United recently hosted an iftaar night for the club’s Muslim players and staff as the club looks to continue their celebrations of all cultures, as shown in the video below.

However, in the video that is currently circulating on social media this morning, some fans believe that they have spotted Berrada at United for the first time.

Unfortunately, this is likely not Berrada, as he will be on strict instructions to stay away from any official business at United until his gardening leave is over. However, he has been in touch and met with several of United’s key figures already.

According to The Athletic, Berrada “has already started to meet a series of the club’s leading executives” while on leave to gain a better understanding of the club’s processes.

He has also already offered his viewpoint to Sir Jim Ratcliffe on other potential hires.
