Sevilla confirm Hannibal Mejbri permanent transfer under one condition
Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta has revealed what it will take to buy Hannibal Mejbri after the 20-year-old joined the Spanish club on loan.
Manchester United youngster Mejbri was unveiled as Sevilla’s latest signing as the midfielder signed a six-month loan deal with the La Liga side despite interest from Everton.
Orta said: “We have an option to buy, something I hope we can go through with if the player does well.”

As part of the loan deal, Sevilla can trigger secure Mejbri permanently for £17.2 million, with a buy-back clause of £30 million included by Manchester United.
Orta previously spent eight years in England as sporting director of Middlesbrough and Leeds United, leaving the latter last year as he returned to his home country, Spain, to oversee La Liga side Sevilla.
The 45-year-old added: “I’ve known about him for a long time. We scouted Hannibal when he was playing for Manchester United’s U-18s during my time in England.
“He has matured a lot since then, but even as a 16-year-old, they (United) were willing to pay 10 million euros.”
Mejbri featured in seven matches for the Red Devils this season but ultimately struggled to secure a regular place in Erik ten Hag‘s side.
The French-born Tunisian scored just one goal this season, meaning a loan was deemed the best option both for Mejbri and Manchester United.
