Revealed: Erik ten Hag’s 3 rules inside Manchester United’s dressing room
Manchester United midfielder Fred has revealed that Erik ten Hag has placed three rules inside the dressing room at Old Trafford.
Ten Hag, 53, has changed the mentality at the club since joining as manager in the summer. He consistently refers to the ‘process’ that his team are undergoing and that there must be focus.
“Good is not good enough” is another phrase the Dutchman uses as he looks to continue improving the situation at the Theatre of Dreams.

There have also been clear rules put in place by the manager since he came to United and he sticks by them no matter what.
Fred revealed in an exclusive interview with The Times that there are three main rules that have been placed inside of the team’s dressing room.
“He has put rules [up] inside the dressing room,” said the Brazilian. “Don’t be late, don’t do wrong things, always do what you can to help your partner – and that’s important.”
Ten Hag doesn’t shirk these rules. Alejandro Garnacho was late to two team meetings in pre-season and had to wait an extended period to find a way into the side.
Meanwhile, star player Marcus Rashford was benched against Wolves at the end of December after oversleeping for a pre-match meeting.
“I was a little bit late for a meeting – I overslept,” said Rashford after the game. “It’s the team rules and it’s a mistake that can happen, but I’m disappointed not to play, but I understand the decision and I’m happy that we managed to win the game anyway.”
Everybody is working toward the same goal at United now. The manager has steered a complete turnaround since walking into the club and his rules seem like a crucial part of the process that he’s taking the team on.
