Mason Greenwood is looking set for a permanent move out of Old Trafford this summer, but the club’s fans do not seem happy with the move.

Mason Greenwood will almost certainly be sold this summer as Manchester United look to maximise raising transfer fees in the next month ahead of what some see as a crucial summer for Erik ten Hag.

With the Dutchman having been given a chance to lead the squad by INEOS, United will now look to raise over £100 million to fund new arrivals by selling those such as Greenwood and Jadon Sancho.

On Tuesday evening, a report from Gianluca Di Marzio revealed that Greenwood has now chosen Juventus as his priority destination this summer despite interest from several clubs around Europe.

It has been claimed that Greenwood and Juventus now have an arrangement for his transfer in place, but the Serie A giants still need to agree on a fee for his transfer, but this agreement is set to come in the next few weeks.

While United are demanding as much as £43 million, Juventus have reportedly decided to open negotiations at around £25 million plus bonuses. It is also stated that Greenwood’s arrival will depend on if Juventus can offload Federico Chiesa.

Greenwood will not play for United again due to a court case against him in 2022. On social media, clips surfaced accusing him of sexual assault and domestic abuse, and he was subsequently arrested.

However, after around a year under house arrest, the CPS ultimately dropped the case due to a lack of key witnesses, and United started their own internal investigation into the matter, which led to the decision to loan him out for the 2023/24 campaign, which he spent at Getafe in La Liga.

In light of the Juventus news, some fans of the Old Lady were not very pleased with the news. Note that these reactions are originally in Italian, so slight mistranslations may have occurred.

“He can stay where he is, a great player with little to say but a shameful d*ckh**d,” one fan reacted.

“I missed this news. In fact, everything was going well, and we needed to balance. The photos are there, they are clear, and I don’t care that he was forgiven by his partner. Greenwood is a horrible person and shouldn’t be on a football pitch,” another fumed in the comments of the original report.

“All the solidarity and understanding I have for (Nicolò) Fagioli, whose call-up I am actually happy with, balances my contempt for anyone who raises even a single finger towards a woman, I would never want this to be on my team,” a third stated.

“A dirty club is interested in a dirty player. No surprise. A criminal feels good in a corrupt club like this,” A fourth then added. “In Italy, criminals are ALWAYS welcome,” a fifth said.
