Mason Greenwood could land Manchester United their original replacement for Jadon Sancho
Mason Greenwood’s potential transfer to Juventus could hand INEOS their original replacement for Jadon Sancho at Manchester United.
Manchester United are actively looking to offload both Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho from their books at Old Trafford this summer, with INEOS wanting to maximise their transfer kitty for the coming window.
Many are expecting the sales of Sancho and Greenwood from the squad to raise at least £80 million this summer, with some reports pointing to potential sales totalling over £150 million, should Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s team act decisively.

For Greenwood, he has been linked with a host of clubs across the continent. While some reports have suggested that there is Premier League interest, those such as Barcelona, Napoli and Atletico Madrid have all been linked for months.
However, the newly reported front-runner for his signing is Juventus. Those in Italy have claimed that Greenwood has already given his OK to sign for the Serie A giants if a transfer can be agreed between them and United, but that Juventus are not too keen on United’s asking price of £30-34 million.
Gazzetto dello Sport claims that the Old Lady is considering offering players in return for Greenwood, with England U21 international Samuel Iling Junior touted as one.
However, the report also mentions Federico Chiesa as a second option, with the winger set to leave the club “immediately” if he does not sign a new deal. Chiesa would be a much more interesting prospect
A report back from September claimed that United had identified Chiesa as their ideal target to replace Sancho. He is set to be sold from United following a fallout with Erik ten Hag.
The 26-year-old Juventus winger was reportedly the “main player who is desired” to replace Sancho when the news was first reported in September. Should Greenwood move to Juventus in a swap deal for Chiesa, it would kill two birds with one stone for INEOS.
