Manchester United’s two best players named by former Old Trafford defender
Almost every single player at Manchester United this season has had inconsistent or poor form under Erik ten Hag.
The position of Manchester United in their Premier League and Champions League tables tell a story of bouts of bad games, with multiple embarrassing losses creeping up every month under Erik ten Hag.
Although club officials see progress in the last few weeks, with United winning four of their last five Premier League games, the rest of the season will be an uphill battle if the team are to finish in the top four.
This, however, does not stop heroes rising from the crop, with former United defender Mikaël Silvestre believing that two players have been United’s best performers this season.

“It’s between Bruno Fernandes and Lindelof,” he told bettingexpert.
“He (Fernandes) has scored goals and has a big influence, while Lindelöf has shown resilience and versatility. He’s gotten better this season.”
“There’s not much to choose from. The team is conceding and not scoring.”
Speaking further on Fernandes, Silvestre believes that although the Portuguese midfielder is leading from the front, he needs help from teammates in order to help the club succeed.
“Bruno needs to lead Manchester United to success to be recognised but he won’t be able to do it alone. He’s playing his role and most of the time he’s playing well.
“The goal (against Fulham) came from his quality but also his heart and his rage to fight against United’s struggles.
“It’s what you want to see from your captain and your offensive player. It’s a tough ride for United at the moment so he needs to carry on but not put too much pressure on himself.”
