Manchester United predicted XI vs Fulham in FA Cup clash
Manchester United host Fulham in the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon.
Following a successful trip to Wembley last month as they picked up the Carabao Cup trophy, United will be eager to make their way back to the iconic stadium in this competition.
Erik ten Hag’s men have recently progressed into the quarter-finals of the Europa League, where they will face another Spanish outfit in Sevilla.
This fixture comes just before the international break and The Reds will want to go into that period with a victory.
It’s likely that Ten Hag will line up with another strong side in this game.
In the defence, the returns of Luke Shaw and Raphaël Varane are expected after they were both rested for the trip to Seville to face Real Betis on Thursday.
They would be joined by David de Gea and Lisandro Martinez, as well as Diogo Dalot – who could get the starting opportunity over Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
In front of them, Ten Hag is without his defensive protector in Casemiro at the heart of the midfield, with the game being the first of his four-match ban.
Scott McTominay and Marcel Sabitzer are both potential replacements in the side for the Brazilian. However, the Scotsman could be a doubt for the fixture and so it seems likely that Sabitzer will be alongside Fred in the pivot.
This game seems like another good opportunity to test the Jadon Sancho experiment in attacking midfield, whilst Bruno Fernandes would move across to the right side.
Facundo Pellistri impressed in his first start for the club last time out but could be an impact from the bench at Old Trafford.
The rest of the attack is likely to be made up of Marcus Rashford and Wout Weghorst. United’s no.10 is in fine goalscoring form and will want to extend his tally against The Cottagers.
