Manchester United fans dealt fresh transfer blow following Anthony Martial injury
Manchester United fans have been dealt a transfer blow after the club confirmed that Anthony Martial will be out for ten weeks due to injury.
Anthony Martial successfully underwent a groin surgery, with Manchester United announcing that he will be unavailable for ten weeks.
“Anthony Martial has completed successful surgery to address a groin complaint and will be out of action for about 10 weeks as he rehabilitates,” a club statement read.

This, of course, caused concern among those in the fan base, with Rasmus Højlund now the only fit and recognised striker in the entirety of Erik ten Hag‘s squad.
Manchester United, who are already light in the attacking department, are now not expecting to make any major signings for the rest of the January window.
This is according to talkSPORT, who also explain that despite links, a move for Karim Benzema has also been ruled out as an option.
This comes as a major blow to United fans as some were hoping that, much like the Marcel Sabitzer loan last January, Martial’s injury may spur the club into action. Sabitzer signed on loan from Bayern Munich following an injury to Christian Eriksen.
Signing a striker on a short-term loan deal may have been a clever move from the club, similar to when the club brought in Wout Weghorst this time last year.
United are expected to release Anthony Martial once his contract runs out at the end of June.
