Manchester United 2024 pre-season: Start date, fixture dates & times, who’s involved
Manchester United will return to the United States for their pre-season tour this summer ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
The Reds ended the last season with victory in the FA Cup final and preparation for the upcoming term is quickly approaching.
Erik ten Hag’s future is yet to be confirmed, with the team set to play their first pre-season fixture in 37 days.
UtdDistrict have compiled all of the important details relating to the club’s upcoming pre-season in 2024.
Start dates
It is understood that the team will return to Carrington ahead of pre-season fixtures towards the beginning of July.
The first pre-season fixture comes on the 15 July, and there will likely be staggered returns from players competing in international tournaments this summer, depending on how long their respective nations remain in those competitions.
Fixture dates & times
Manchester United will travel to face Norweigan club Rosenborg and Scottish side Rangers before they travel to the United States for their second pre-season tour there in as many years.
The Reds will play against Arsenal, Real Betis and Liverpool before returning to England to face Manchester City in Wembley for the Community Shield.

The initial group of players will be those not involved in international tournaments. This will include:
Andre Onana, Tom Heaton*, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire, Jonny Evans*, Willy Kambwala, Tyrell Malacia, Sofyan Amrabat**, Mason Mount, Casemiro, Marcus Rashford, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Amad Diallo.
* Currently negotiating contract extensions
** Loan finishes on June 30, but unclear whether buy-option will be triggered
