Manchester United have yet to announce Ruud van Nistelrooy’s arrival as part of Erik ten Hag’s coaching staff despite his being pictured at Carrington training ground on Monday morning.

Manchester United revamped Erik ten Hag‘s current coaching staff in the summer, with former striker Ruud van Nistelrooy re-joining Old Trafford as an assistant coach from 2024/25 onwards.

The club are also set to employ former Go Ahead Eagles manager Rene Hake and former Burnley goalkeeping coach Jelle ten Rouwelaar as part of the new force of coaches.

All three coaches arrived at Carrington on Monday morning, with photos emerging of Van Nistelrooy and Hake at the training ground.

However, a fresh report from Manchester World has revealed that the club are waiting for the respective coaches’ visas before making the triple appointment official.

Although United’s players and Ten Hag are commencing their pre-season training on Monday morning, neither Van Nistelrooy nor Hake will take part in the initial training session because they are waiting for their UK work visas.

However, all other formalities are said to have been finalised ahead of an official unveiling later this week. The club wants to make a formal announcement as soon as possible but won’t do so until the visa issue is officially resolved.

Many fans are excited about the new arrivals, especially Van Nistelrooy. After a season in which the club failed to score at least a reasonable number of goals, fans hope the former Dutch striker will aid those such as Rasmus Højlund, Marcus Rashford, and Alejandro Garnacho by enhancing their goalscoring prowess.

United are also expected to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee this summer. Zirkzee is currently away with the Netherlands at the 2024 European Championship. Van Nistelrooy and Zirkzee’s natural Dutch connection will only help the 23-year-old during his first season at Old Trafford.
