“Some contacts…” Fabrizio Romano provides latest on two-way Manchester United transfer
Manchester United are looking to offload Jadon Sancho this summer in order to secure further funding to improve Erik ten Hag’s squad this summer.
Varying reports have suggested that Manchester United have between £40-60 million to spend this summer. The club are currently focusing on outgoings to raise the cash to spend on several new incomings under Erik ten Hag.
They are thought to be hoping to raise north of £65-70 million this summer from the sales of Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood, and deals seem to be progressing for the latter.

In the last few days, it has been reported that the club is in advanced talks with Ligue 1 outfit Marseille regarding a deal for Greenwood. United is open to accepting a loan with an obligation to buy and a subsequent sell-on clause.
However, there has also been fresh information regarding Sancho. Juventus have been strongly linked with the 24-year-old in the last month, and Fabrizio Romano has now provided fans with a fresh update.
“Juventus want to sell Federico Chiesa. This is a crucial step for Juventus in order to go and sign one more winger for Thiago Motta,” Romano stated on his YouTube channel.
“Chiesa is out of contract next summer. There is no agreement over a new deal and no intention to extend the contract because Thiago Motta doesn’t trust Federico Chiesa. Now the priority of Juventus is to find a new club for Federico Chiesa.
“With that money, something around €25 million, they can also reinvest on several positions – a new winger and midfielder. They want to sign Teun Koopmeiners from Atalanta, but also, in terms of winger, Jadon Sancho is one of the players, not the only one, but one or two, three players they have in the list for the winger position.
“Juventus already wanted Sancho around November, December last year when they were looking for a player in that position.
“Then, at the end of the day, Borussia Dortmund were able to convince the player because they have a special relationship with Jadon Sancho, so he decided to go back to Borussia Dortmund, but Juventus maintained an interest in Jadon Sancho.
“He remains one of the players they like, one of the players they appreciate. They had some contacts on the player’s side, but still nothing agreed because, as I mentioned, they need to clarify the situation of Federico Chiesa, but for sure, Jadon Sancho could be one to watch for Juventus.”
Previous reports have stated that, back in December, Chiesa was considered a replacement for Sancho should he leave Old Trafford, and it seems as if that door is still open.
With United looking to sign a new attacker this summer and the club open to the possible sale of Antony for the right price, a swap deal for the pair with Chiesa being used as a make-weight to lower the cash price of Sancho could be a suitable option that pleases all parties.
