Napoli monitoring Manchester United star as they hunt for Victor Osimhen replacement
Napoli are hunting a replacement in the market for a potential replacement for Victor Osimhen, with their eyes seemingly landing on a Manchester United star.
Manchester United want to sell multiple players this summer, with INEOS desiring to sign at least five players this summer, should time and funds permit.
They want two new centre-backs, a striker, a midfielder, and potentially a new full-back should space open up in the squad—but to do so, there must be a high number of transfers out of the club.

There is plenty of deadwood within and surrounding Erik ten Hag‘s squad. Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood are high on the sale priority list, while others, such as Casemiro and potentially Scott McTominay, may depart, too.
Despite their persona-non-grata status at Old Trafford, Sancho and Greenwood are both prime talents on the European stage, and Napoli are said to be eyeing a potential transfer for Mason Greenwood this summer.
Napoli are expected to lose their star forward, Victor Osimhen, this summer following the club finishing 10th in Serie A and Osimhen their highest-value asset.
Napoli, having just appointed Antonio Conte as their new manager at Diego Armando Maradona Stadium, presented their new boss today. Although Conte named Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Giovanni Di Lorenzo as key men in his team, the same was not said for Osimhen.
“I’m aware of his situation, I know there’s an agreement with the club so it’s a different case compared to others,” Conte said on Wednesday.
“There’s a pact between Victor and Napoli on his future and I accepted that.”
It is thought that United want around £35-40 million for Greenwood, and interest from Italy is rife.
Juventus were reportedly interested in him, although some reports claim that the owners are not keen, while Lazio are seemingly preparing a bid for the 22-year-old.
