Manchester United have been handed a fresh transfer update on Casemiro’s future, as the latest is explained surrounding a potential Saudi Arabian move.

Casemiro has not quite fulfilled his price tag at Manchester United following his £60 million move from Real Madrid in 2022.

Signing as part of Erik ten Hag‘s first transfer window in charge at Old Trafford, his life as a Red Devil started slowly, but once he was fully integrated into the squad, he became a pivotal member of midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes.

However, following a long-term injury sustained in November last year, Casemiro’s performances began to deteriorate, and he made some crucial errors while playing as an auxiliary centre-back during the final few ties of the season.

He is a player who United are happy to see move on for the right fee this summer, but according to FootballInsider, he is in “no rush” to make a decision about leaving Old Trafford this summer, with his current deal set to expire in 2026.

It is said that a “huge” offer would need to be presented for Casemiro to leave United. He currently earns a reported £350,000 a week at the club, making him one of the highest earners in world football.

Following his decline in form, many have thought that the only way all parties would be happy to get what they want is for Casemiro to secure a transfer to the Saudi Pro League this summer. The report says that Saudi sides “remain interested”, but as their transfer window does not open until 17 June, nothing further has been said.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the 32-year-old’s exit from United remains a “concrete possibility” this summer.

Saudi Pro League clubs continue to maintain contact with his camp to discuss terms of a potential deal, which was initially reported in April.

United are “open” to letting him leave this summer in order to bring in a new midfielder, with links to Paris St. Germain star Manuel Ugarte growing.
