Man Utd star has over 12 clubs vying to sign him in summer transfer window
Manchester United forward Anthony Elanga started just five times for the club in the Premier League this season.
Elanga, 21, emerged as a first-team regular last term under Ralf Rangnick but has since faded into the background at United.
The winger’s last start for the club came in January against Charlton in the Carabao Cup.
That month saw the Swedish international gain interest from several clubs in the mid-season transfer window, including Borussia Dortmund and PSV Eindhoven. However, Erik ten Hag blocked any move as he wanted to keep him at Old Trafford.
Since that 3-0 victory against Charlton, Elanga has made just eight appearances and had only 103 minutes on the pitch. The wide man expressed his disappointment about game-time whilst on international duty in March.
“It is frustrating,” he stated. “You want to play. It is important. But if you don’t play, it’s not up to me but up to the coach.
“I have spoken to Erik and it is private between the two of us. I know what he wants me to do and I can just keep training hard. When the opportunity comes, I just have to be ready to take it.”
This frustrating period could be followed with a move away from the club that he’s been at since he was fourteen.
The latest reports from The Daily Mail have explained that Elanga is ready for a fresh challenge away from the Theatre of Dreams.
It was also mentioned that Elanga has over 12 clubs ready to take him.
After making his debut for United against Leicester City in May 2021, Elanga has made 55 appearances for the club.
