The latest Manchester United injury news as Erik ten Hag’s men prepare to face Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Erik ten Hag‘s men have won just two of their last eight Premier League fixtures, with Manchester United continuing to battle against an ongoing injury crisis that has seen United playing with just one fit centre-back in Harry Maguire.

All of Lisandro Martínez, Raphaël Varane, Jonny Evans, Victor Lindelöf, and Willy Kambwala were unavailable against either Coventry City or Sheffield United, and Ten Hag has confirmed that this remains the case.

However, speaking on Friday afternoon, he also gave the fans a fresh boost with Mason Mount, who is set to return to the squad against Burnley.

Asked about injury returns by the media, Ten Hag said: “So same squad but apart from Mason Mount. He will return into the squad.”

Harry Maguire has been carrying an injury but continues to play, and is expected to start against Burnley.

Speaking further, he was then questioned about whether Luke Shaw, Martínez, or striker Anthony Martial would play a part this season. He confirmed that all three are on course to return before the campaign ends.

“Yes, I think we will see them all in the season. They all returned onto the pitch. Next week, they have to make the step into team training and they can be available for the last weeks. They progress well.”

As reported by The Times on Wednesday evening, Bruno Fernandes broke his hand during United’s FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City but was keen to play against Sheffield United.

Despite the broken hand, he is expected to be fit to play when United face Burnley. He continues his streak of never missing a United game through injury since he arrived four years ago at Old Trafford.

Tyrell Malacia was recently pictured during gym work as he focuses on his rehabilitation. However, he is not expected to return to the squad until pre-season at the earliest. Marcus Rashford missed the tie against Sheffield and is not expected to play against Burnley.

Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has disclosed that striker Lyle Foster is in good shape despite his early exit during the resounding 4-1 triumph against Sheffield United last weekend.

Goalkeeper Arijanet Muric’s fitness is also reassuring, dispelling any lingering worries, while Luca Koleosho is on the brink of making a comeback from a knee injury. Unfortunately for them, Ameen Al-Dakhil, Jordan Beyer, Aaron Ramsey, and Nathan Redmond are indisputably sidelined.
