“A disgrace…” – Erik ten Hag slams Man United critics after FA Cup victory
Erik ten Hag has slammed the critics as “embarrassing” and a “disgrace” following the reaction to Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final victory over Coventry.
United somehow emerged from the clash with less credibility than when they entered the stadium.
The 3-0 lead made it seem like United would encounter a comfortable afternoon for one of the first times this season.

However, the collapse was monumental and not so surprising as Coventry scored three times to force the game into extra time.
Fortunately, victory on penalties is all that matters in the end, with an FA Cup final against Manchester City next month. Yet, major concerns are still apparent.
Ten Hag, however, believes that the reaction has been pathetic after the Dutch manager reached the third final in his time at Old Trafford so far, despite major injury troubles this campaign.
Asked about the performance being embarrassing once again in his latest press conference, Ten Hag snapped: “No. Absolutely not. You made enough and one the question: ‘Is it embarrassing?’ No, the reaction from you was embarrassing.
“It is the comments. Top football is about results, we made it to a final and we deserved it not only by this game but also the other games.
“We lost control for 20 mins, we also had bad luck, 3-2, 3-3. We were very lucky in the end, clear. Penalties was very good and we made it to the final, it is a huge achievement.
“Twice in two years- is magnificent. For me as a manager, four cup final in four years. The comments are a disgrace.”
Manchester United will face Sheffield United on Wednesday evening as they look for a Premier League victory for the first time in over a month.
Ten Hag’s side last won in the league when they hosted Everton towards the beginning of March. Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford scored the goals in a 2-0 win on that day.
