Manchester United confirm Erik ten Hag XI to face Aston Villa (Premier League)
Manchester United travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa as they look to try and force their way into the top four of the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag’s men are currently sat sixth in the Premier League table, eight points behind Aston Villa, who are fourth.
Goals from Rasmus Højlund and Alejandro Garnacho saw Manchester United defeat West Ham 3-0 last weekend.
Ahead of the game, Unai Emery highlighted several United players as danger-men for his team to keep an eye on.
“We have to try to stop them,” he said at his pre-match press conference on Friday. “Starting with the goalkeeper [Andre Onana] because his build-up is fantastic. Their centre-backs like to play, building up and controlling ball possession, trying to get good combinations on the pitch.
“Luke Shaw is very dangerous, and Diogo Dalot is in a good moment. Casemiro is a very important player for them. They have very good wingers and strikers, and that is my concern.
“On Sunday, we’re going to play a different match against Manchester United [to Old Trafford]. They are recovering some very important players for them, one of them is Casemiro.”
Ten Hag has now opted to start XXX and XXX as they line up to face Villa.
