Man United preparing £30m bid for Erik ten Hag’s ‘priority’ target who is ‘keen’ on joining
Manchester United are preparing a £30 million bid for one of Erik ten Hag’s ‘priority’ targets, and he is said to be ‘keen’ on a move.
The Reds are looking for several signings this summer to boost Ten Hag’s squad ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
United’s initial priorities are bringing in a central defender and striker, but they are also keen to improve their midfield, with both Casemiro and Christian Eriksen likely to depart.
According to Uruguay Fichajes, as per Sport Witness, United boss Ten Hag has identified Manuel Ugarte as a ‘priority’ signing to fill the defensive midfielder role in the team.
Recent reports have explained that the midfielder is now a target for the Old Trafford outfit.
An initial £30 million offer from the Red Devils for Ugarte is now expected, the aforementioned report added. It was also said that the midfielder seems keen on the move and would be delighted to play in the Premier League.
Other reports have claimed that PSG would be looking to recoup the majority of the money they spent on Ugarte last summer.
The French club signed the midfielder from Sporting Lisbon last summer for around £50 million but are now open to selling him.
Ugarte made 37 appearances last term but is reportedly not an option that Luis Enrique likes and that is why his exit is likely.
