Lisandro Martínez sends Man United fans message after injury return vs Tottenham
Lisandro Martínez returned to Manchester United for the first time in four months as Tottenham Hotspur travelled to Old Trafford.
The fixture ended in a draw, with Rasmus Højlund and Marcus Rashford‘s goals equalled by Richarlison’s header and Rodrigo Bentancur’s early second-half effort.
The point saw Manchester United climb back to seventh in the Premier League table, with Brighton, who are one point behind the Reds, due to play their 21st fixture of the competition next weekend.

One positive for Erik ten Hag during the fixture was the return of Lisandro Martínez, who played around 30 minutes of the fixture.
Martínez was substituted into the game during the second half to replace Jonny Evans in defence, with the player immediately looking like he was comfortable on the field again, despite having been out with injury for the last four months.
After the game, Martínez shared an affectionate message with United fans: “Proud of the reception I got from the fans, I really love you,” the defender said on social media.
“Not the result we wanted, but we battled hard until the end. We’ll work together for more!”
Due to the winter break in the Premier League schedule, Manchester United’s next fixture in the competition does not come until 1 February against Wolverhampton Wanderers, but they do have an FA Cup fourth-round fixture against either Newport County or Eastleigh away from home on 28 January.
