Latest Manchester United training images show four injury returns for Erik ten Hag
Manchester United have been handed four injury boosts as Erik ten Hag prepares his squad to face Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup at Old Trafford on Tuesday evening.
Erik ten Hag‘s squad has been hampered with injuries of late, with up to 11 players having been sidelined when Manchester United suffered a 3-1 defeat against Brighton just over one week ago.
The crisis has seen key players such as Raphaël Varane, Luke Shaw, and Mason Mount miss pivotal games through injury, while multiple new summer signings have only just started getting minutes in a United shirt.

Ahead of the club’s Carabao Cup tie against Crystal Palace, however, there have been four positive updates that will boost Ten Hag’s chances.
After making his initial debut for the club against Burnley on Saturday evening, Sofyan Amrabat is now in full training with the United squad, which puts him in contention to start for the first time on Tuesday evening. Previously, he had been training alone.
Mason Mount has also been spotted back in full training, with his England teammate, Harry Maguire, also now returning from injury after missing the last two fixtures.
Raphaël Varane is also a familiar face who fans will be happy to see back. Varane, who is a vital part of Ten Hag’s defensive line, has been missing through injury for the past month, and his return is a welcome one.
Much like Amrabat, he was afforded his first minutes back in the game against Burnley, and his inclusion in the full training squad no doubt hands a fitness boost as he may be able to start once again.
This is a timely inclusion considering the injury to Lisandro Martínez, who had to withdraw from the team that travelled to face Burnley due to an ongoing problem with his ankle.
