Joshua Zirkzee has been warned against signing for Manchester United as a third club seemingly enters the race for an Old Trafford youngster.

Manchester United are aiming to sign a new forward during this summer’s transfer window. With Anthony Martial‘s departure, Rasmus Højlund remains the only recognised centre-forward in Erik ten Hag‘s squad.

UtdDistrict understands that INEOS are seeking to secure a new striker early in the window, with links to Joshua Zirkzee supporting this intention.

However, the player has been warned against signing for the Old Trafford club, claiming that he could ruin his career.

“If there is a team that has ruined a player’s career in recent years, it is Manchester United,” Milan-based journalist Emanuel Corazzi exclaimed.

“Of all those who went there, in the end, Hojlund is too young and too strong to say, so we have to wait, but everyone else…

“If I were Zirkzee, if you tell me ‘Lookm Arteta wants you at Arsenal to play centre-forward’, I can understand that you’ll have doubts if United calls you.”

Meanwhile, a third club has entered the race for United youngster Facundo Pellistri ahead of the summer transfer window. Previous reports from two weeks ago claimed that Süper Lig side Beşiktaş J.K. have shown an interest in signing him during the upcoming transfer window.

According to the report, Beşiktaş has inquired of United to see what the conditions would be for a transfer this summer. Although it is not stated if this would be a permanent transfer or loan deal, the nature of the report suggests it would be a full transfer.

Further, last week, it was explained that Brazilian side Flamengo want to sign the young international this summer. Flamengo have a good working relationship with United, having negotiated the loan move of Andreas Pereira in 2021 before his sale to Fulham.

And now, according to Gazeta Esportiva, a third club, and second from Brazil, have activated their interest in Pellistri in the form of iconic side Corinthians.

It is said that ‘on their radar’ for the summer window. They have reportedly been eyeing the market for an attacker, and he’s the type of profile they’re currently seeking.

Pellistri’s current deal runs until 2025, with his long-term future yet to be decided. He is currently with the Uruguay squad for the coming 2024 Copa America tournament.
